2007-Present

Tamra Lloyd was born in Perry, Oklahoma to Philip and
Beverly Lloyd in 1975. She is the youngest of four children and her attitude in
life has always reflected this fact. She was and still is extremely close with
her older brothers and sister, and has a fierce sense of devotion to her family.
She attended Bethany High School and was an active Cheerleader and Homecoming
Queen. She graduated in 1993 and entered the University of Central Oklahoma
where she majored in early education. It was during this time that she met her
future husband, Jonathan Jennings.
Tamra and Jonathan married after a very short courtship
(10 months to be exact) in 1996. Tamra left a retail job she had held for five
years to begin
working for the law office of William Shdeed. Almost two years later, Tamra and
Jonathan were blessed with the birth of their first child, Zachary Avon
Jennings. During this time Tamra began working in the insurance industry at
Summit Claim and Appraisal, eventually ending up at the local call center for
Farmer's Insurance Group. In 2003 they were blessed again with their second
child, Sarah Elizabeth Jennings
Tamra is an avid runner and tennis player, and is extremely devoted to her faith, family, and friends. She has had over 10 years experience in office management and continues to put her skills to work everyday as the Co-Owner of Jennings Building Materials. After she and Jonathan purchased the yard in 2007, her biggest daily challenge remains tolerating Jonathan both at work and home.

World-famous, widely popular American
humorist of the vaudeville stage and of silent and sound films, Jonathan
graduated from military school, but his first real job was in the livestock
business in Argentina, of all places. He transported pack animals across the
South Atlantic from Buenos Aires to South Africa for use in the Boer War
(1899-1902). He stayed in Johannesburg for a short while, appearing there in
Wild West shows where he drew upon his expertise with horse and lasso. Returning
to America, he brought his talents to vaudeville and by 1917 was a Ziegfeld
Follies star. Over the years he gradually blended into his act his unique style
of topical, iconoclastic humor, in which he speared the efforts of the powerful
to trample the rights of the
common
man, while twirling his lariat and perhaps chewing on a blade of straw. Although
appearing in many silents, he reached his motion-picture zenith with the arrival
of sound. Now mass audiences could hear his rural twang as he delivered his
homespun philosophy on behalf of Everyman. The appeal and weight of his words
carried such weight with the average citizen that he was even nominated for
governor of Oklahoma (which he declined).
Okay, okay, so what if that is Will Rogers' bio? Mine is pretty cool too. Let's see...........
I was born Oklahoma City in 1975. I have an older brother Chris who lives in Snoqualmie, WA with his wife Tara and three sons Drew, Travis, and Nate. I graduated in 1993 from Putnam City North and started at the University of Central Oklahoma majoring in Criminal Justice. When I was fortunate enough to meet and marry Tamra, I was blessed not only with a wonderful wife and partner, but two beautiful children. I have been a Nichols Hills Police Officer, worked for the Oklahoma Criminal Justice Resource Center, and ran my own small business before coming back to work for my Dad in 2002. After Dad's health took a turn, my wife and I purchased the yard from him in 2007 and have been rolling along ever since.
I enjoy my family, faith, friends, fishing, and football (nice alliteration, huh?). Ask Tamra and she will tell you I enjoy the Xbox a little too much. I love the lumberyard and this industry, and I only hope I can continue to grow this business and carry on the proud traditions and values the generations before me set in place.
